Okay, this is normally our Apple Juice Pickup event. It has been that way for nearly every year of our club's existence. This year we decided to make a change by calling for a severe drought, high temps and a terrible apple harvest.
The result is that we have no apple juice pickup. There is no juice. On the positive side, we will get together anyway. It's October, there will be a picnic. We will call it 'The Fruit Picnic'.
It is at Jill Parkins' house (see attached address) and will be a pot luck as always. Also, bring a bottle of either your own, or a store's fruit wine. Yes, that's right. We will do a fruit-themed picnic. And anything baked with apples as an ingredient is welcome.
Sorry about the change! We are hiding our disappointment behind, well, wine smiles.
