    • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
    • enVision Hotel, 701 Concord St S, South St Paul, MN 55075

The September general meeting is our first meeting of the new fiscal year. At this meeting we will:

    • Kick off the club's new fiscal year
    • Highlight the upcoming events and meetings
    • Showcase and taste members' award winning wines from last year

After being informed about the exciting year ahead, we will hand the meeting over to you, our club members, to showcase and lead tastings of your award winning wines from the previous year. If you have a wine or wines that won an award this past season, please bring *2 bottles* for tasting! This is your chance to share your best wines with the club and tell us a little about the wine and the process you used to make it.

This is also an excellent opportunity for all members to not only taste top quality wines, but also to learn about what goes into making them from the winemakers themselves.

So bring your top winning wines and a pencil for tasting notes & calendar planning.

As always, please feel free to show up 30 minutes early with a wine to be evaluated before the meeting at 7:00. This is a great opportunity to get feedback and advice.

If you are on the fence about entering wines, we highly encourage you to do so. Many winemakers have surprised themselves in the past with how well they do, and all have learned something from the judging sheets. Whether you're an expert winemaker or a beginner, let's make this a strong showing!

You can enter 1 wine in each category. We will have 8 tables set up for each of the different categories which include: Any Red Grape, Non-Vinifera Red Grape, Any White Grape, Non-Vinifera White Grape, Berry Fruit, Non-Berry Fruit, Specialty, and Aged Wine (any wines 5 years and older.) Ask the Wine Steward if you are unsure.

All judging is done blind. Each table will have an assigned primary judge, and all members are invited to participate in judging at any of the tables where that member does not have a wine entered, nor do they know of someone else's wine at that table.

Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each category, and a special award will be given for Best of Show.
