January Meeting - New Zealand Wines

Maureen Janke will lead the club through an introduction to New Zealand wines that can be purchased in local stores.  We'll explore what makes these wines unique from the various wine regions of the country and why those regions create distinct flavor profiles.  And yes!  We'll be tasting some of these New Zealand wines during the presentation.   

This meeting is free to members.  Non-members will be charged a small fee to cover the cost of the wines being tasted.

McBride Sisters     -    Hawkes Bay   -  Black Girl Magic Sparkling Brut

Framingham WInery, -   Marlborough   -  2020 Sauvignon Blanc

Peter Yealands   -   Marlborough  -   2014  Pinot Gris

Peter Yealands   -   Marlborough  -   2018  Pinot Noir

Oyster Bay         -   Hawkes Bay   -   2018 Merlot

The Hawkes Bay wines are from the North Island, and the Marlborough wines are from the South Island.  The first two wines should be available at Total Wines; the Peter Yealands wines are available at Discount Liquor in Eagan, and the Oyster Bay is available at Black Diamond Liquor in Eagan.   They may also be available at other stores.
