The April meeting will feature a varietal wine tasting led by Laura Schroeder. Laura will be guiding us along an often overlooked fundamental course: How do some of the most popular red vinifera varietals differ from one another? What makes them unique? What are their typical characteristics? This will be a great introduction for people newer to wine, but also a good refresher for experienced wine drinkers and winemakers. Specifically, we will be tasting Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
As always, please feel free to show up at least 30 minutes early with a wine to be evaluated before the meeting starts at 7:00. This is a great opportunity to get feedback and advice. It's also fun!
