On behalf of the Holiday Party Planning Committee I would like to extend a thanks to the many people involved in making it happen. It was a wonderful evening as expressed by many of the folks who attended. There were so many volunteers - planning, set up, decorations, goody bags, wall of wine, silent auction and don’t forget cleanup! Everyone pitches in at the end of the night which is just great. A special shout out to Dan Wahlman and his crew. The appetizers were over the top and the buffet set up for the soup and main course worked out great. I heard rave reviews over both the beef and the salmon - thank you Dan! Also, the wine pairings were great - thank you, Joe! The donations for the bags and the silent auction were truly amazing. I doubt anyone was disappointed in what they found in their bags - well worth the $5! There were so many silent auction items that we had to set up extra tables. A special thanks to the Fowlers and the Van Hoevers for donating “events” - they are particularly big money raisers. The net proceeds from the party were $5,518! This is quite a bit more than we have ever made so congratulations to all who donated items and all who were so generous in their purchases. The money allows the club to keep the dues at the current level, maintain the new website and offer better programs and wine tastings!
